About Us

Since 1984, SAFY of Ohio has worked with youth and families to reach their full potential, building the foundation of well-being we all need to contribute to our communities.

As a trusted organization providing foster care, family supportive services and behavioral health care in Ohio, SAFY partners with foster families, caregivers, and communities to provide safe, supportive environments for youth and families. Our work is rooted in helping families grow stronger together while ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Led by Senior Executive Director Tonya Brooks-Thomas, MSSA, LISW-S, SAFY of Ohio offers a blueprint of services grounded in research and real-world experience, addressing the root causes of trauma while creating meaningful, lasting change.

Through trauma-informed practices, SAFY of Ohio helps families build stability, connection, and skills they need to thrive together.
