About Us

Since 1990, SAFY of Kentucky has worked with youth and families to reach their full potential, building the foundation of well-being we all need to contribute to our communities.

As a trusted organization supporting foster care, family supportive services, and behavioral health care across the state, SAFY plays a vital role in supporting children and families through compassionate, community-based services.  Our work in Kentucky focuses on creating safe, stable environments while helping families build the skills needed for long-term stability.

Led by Co-Associate Executive Directors Sarah Braun and Nichole Gilkey, LCSW, SAFY of Kentucky offers a blueprint of services based on research addressing the roots of trauma while effecting lasting change.

Throughout Kentucky, our integrated approach addresses both immediate needs and long-term outcomes for children and families.
