SAFY Announces Will Matt’s Election to the Family Focused Treatment Association Board of Directors
[Delphos, Ohio] – Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth of America, Inc. (SAFY) is pleased to announce that Will Matt, MBA, President and CEO, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA).
FFTA is a leading non-profit association in North America with a legacy of advancing best practices and advocating for policies that support families in the care and treatment of children. With roots in treatment foster care going back over 35 years, FFTA today has nearly 500 member organizations across the U.S., Canada, and internationally. These member organizations provide a full range of services to families in both formal and informal child welfare and mental health systems.
This election follows a robust and competitive nomination process led by FFTA’s Board Development Committee who considered a strong pool of highly qualified leaders from across the country. After careful evaluation, Mr. Matt was elected to bring his expertise, leadership, and passion for child welfare and mental health services to FFTA’s governance.
"This amazing group of leaders, innovators, and change-makers will be instrumental in advancing our mission and guiding our work as a leading association in the human services sector across North America," said Dr. Amy Strickler, FFTA Board Chairperson. "I am truly honored to lead alongside this dynamic group of newly elected Directors and look forward to the positive impact we will make together through this important governance role."
Mr. Matt joins five other newly elected directors and will serve alongside FFTA’s existing board members. The FFTA Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding the association’s strategic vision, supporting its members and driving impactful initiatives that strengthen families and communities across North America.
FFTA Executive Director Ryan Dowis expressed his enthusiasm for the new Directors, stating: "We are grateful to have these exceptional leaders join our Board. Their passion, expertise, and commitment to FFTA’s mission will help ensure that families, communities, and the professionals who support them continue to thrive."
SAFY is proud to be a member of FFTA and looks forward to Mr. Matt’s leadership in shaping the future of the association and the broader human services sector through collaboration, innovation, and advocacy.
