When families struggle to communicate and don’t feel much connection to one another, it can cause serious problems at school and at home. The Strengthening Families Program was specially designed to address these concerns to increase resilience and help build a warm and welcoming home environment to help give children the best start in life.

The Strengthening Families Program is funded by Children’s Trust of South Carolina to provide a course of fourteen sessions, parents and children aged 6-11 will problem solve issues, such as like peer pressure, stresses in the home environment, communication, and other potential problems. They’ll also work on:

• Strengthening family bonds
• Communication
•  Planning for the future
• Reducing stressors in the home
