Developing Dreams for Flourishing Futures

Many teens dream of getting a good education or finding jobs they love. They have cherished goals and aspirations that define a sense of place in the world. But many youth experiencing foster care also have concerns about realizing those dreams. Our teens, like any other teens, need stability and consistency. Someone who will encourage them to make their dreams a reality and be there for important moments in life. At SAFY, we pride ourselves on our commitment to support our families and building strong communities. We partner with our foster parents, the youth, and communities, to help our youth achieve Flourishing Futures.

Partner with SAFY to develop the next generation

For most youth experiencing foster care, there is no safety net to rely on during the transition from dependence to independence. This places even more importance on those caring adults whom they learn to trust over time.

Becoming a foster parent not only impacts the youth in your home, but will create an impact that will last for generations. All youth deserve someone who will nurture, protect, and guide them. Armor them with values, life principles, and safety to give them courage to pursue their dreams and reassurance of a bright future.

Why Foster Me

Do you remember looking out into the stands of a big game when you were young? Scanning to find your grown ups. If they were there, there’s an immediate sense of relief or calm. And if they aren’t, there’s a rush of disappointment or anger.

What about the youth who don’t even look because they know that there isn’t anyone to show up anyway? What about the youth who can’t even play on the team because they had to change schools again because another family gave up. Teens in foster care are like any other teens, they need stability and consistency. They need caring adults to invest their time.
